Bill Bonaudi Announces Retirement

Bill Bonaudi will retire June 30 after serving 17 years as president of Big Bend Community College.

Bonaudi announced his decision to the Board of Trustees last week. He’ll retire after a 47-year  career as a community college instructor and administrator.

“I’ve had a wonderful career and have been blessed to complete it at Big Bend,” Bonaudi said.  “Moses Lake has been a wonderful home for my family and me, and I will remain here in retirement.”

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees is scheduled for Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. to discuss the  presidential search process and desirable characteristics of a new president. Trustees will continue the discussion on Feb. 24 during a regularly scheduled study session.

Bonaudi was hired as BBCC President in May 1995. Before coming to Big Bend, he was Vice President of Academic Affairs at Northern Nevada Community College.
