Viking Food Pantry

The Viking Food Pantry serves all Big Bend Community College students and employees who are in need.

We provide supplemental food boxes up to 50lbs per week/per household, lunch/snacks items, 7 campus snack stations, a clothing closet, and connections/resources for on-campus and off campus in the community. We also have a satellite pantry, VFP2, located in our BBCC Residence Halls that is accessible after hours to students who reside on-campus.

Food box contents:

• Frozen and/or Canned Meats
• Fresh and/or Canned Fruits
• Fresh and/or Canned Vegetables
• Dairy Products
• Various Non-Perishables
• Personal Care Products
• Baby Diapers, Food, and Formula
• Connections to Campus and Community Resources
  • **Please note that some items may not be available at the time requested.

The Viking Food Pantry provides these services in partnership with the Community Services of Moses Lake, CARE Moses Lake, and from generous donations from the community, community partners, and Big Bend Staff and Faculty.
  

Accessing the Viking Food Pantry outside of regular hours:

• Need a food box outside of regular VFP hours?  Stop by the BBCC Library located in the 1800 building or fill out the BBCC Library request form to schedule your ‘To Go’ food box pickup.
  **’To Go’ Library food boxes are pre-picked with non-perishable food items only.**
   
• Live in the Residence Halls and need access to food after VFP hours? Contact the Resident Advisor on duty for access to the Satellite Viking Food Pantry (VFP2) located in Phillips Hall, building 5000.
    

DONATION INFORMATION:

• To make a food donation: Please drop off to the Viking Food Pantry located in the 1400 building. Or you may drop off the donations to the WES department, office 1439 or office 1438, located in the North end of the 1400 building (opposite side of the Admissions Office).

• To make an electronic monetary donation: Visit the BBCC Viking Food Pantry’s electronic donation page.
    
• To make a cash donation: Please contact Big Bend Foundation Director, LeAnne Parton at leannep@bigbend.edu.
    
• To make a clothing donation: Please contact the Viking Food Pantry prior to donating clothing to check that they are accepting donations at that time. 509-793-2057

Students living in the Residence Halls may contact the RA on duty for access to the VFP2 (Satellite Pantry) located in Phillips Hall, building 5000 by calling 509-361-3647.

The VFP  is not capable to make any deliveries.

The VFP is only available to current students, staff, and faculty members and must have a BBCC ID number.
