BBCC Vikings claim third place in the Northwest Athletic Conference

The BBCC Vikings defeated Clark College 99-86 on Sunday to claim third place in the Northwest Athletic Conference men’s basketball championships, finishing the year with a 26-8 record.

The Vikings lost to Community College of Spokane 77-66 in the semi-finals. BBCC defeated Spokane twice this year in East Region play. The Vikings were ranked first and Spokane second in the NWAC Coaches’ Poll going into the tournament.

The Vikings defeated a determined Highline Community College team 73-65 in the quarterfinals.

The East Region of the NWAC dominated the tournament, with Spokane winning the championship, BBCC placing third, and Columbia Basin College placing fourth.

BBCC’s Ryker Pierce was named to the all-tournament first team, and Mogga Lado was named to the second team.
