Moving In

Check-in will be from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm- 5:00 pm.

Students arrive on campus, go directly to the Residence Hall

Students will need to be checked in at the residence hall table located in our courtyard. Students will need to know their BBCC ID number and have a form of identification.

ResLife staff will conduct a tour of the ResHall facilities and escort the resident to their room and conduct a Room Condition Report with the resident.

The resident and their family members may enter the residence hall to unpack and help the student settle in during move-in. No visitor check-in is required.

To help aid the check-in process we ask that only vehicles needed for unpacking be parked in front of the Residence Halls. All other vehicles can park in the lot in front of the ResHalls (see image below).

• Important Documents (ID/Passport/Visa/Health Insurance Information etc.)

• First Aid Kit, including face mask/covering (Needed for Covid-19)

• Clothes Hamper and Laundry Detergent
• Re-Useable Dishes/Utensils
• Induction pots and pans
• UL-Rated Power Strip and Device Chargers
• Backpack and School Supplies
• Computer
• Small Decorations
• Command Strips that will not damage paint
• Food
• Re-Usable Shopping Bags

Do not bring:

• Additional Room Furniture (Dressers/Mattresses /Tables etc.)
• Candles/Incense
• Open Coil Equipment, (Halogen Lamps, lava lamp, hot plates etc.)
• Adhesive light strips
• Drug/Alcohol Advertisements
• Offensive/Targeting Decorations
• Weapons

Note: There are no elevators in either building, please pack accordingly.

Driving directions from Spokane to Moses Lake: 

1. From Spokane drive west on I-90 for 105 miles.
2. Take the WA-17 exit- EXIT 179 – toward Othello/Moses Lake/Ephrata.
3. At the stop sign on the exit ramp, turn right.
4. Turn north onto Hwy 17.
5. Continue on Hwy 17 turning right onto Patton Blvd.
6. Follow Patton Blvd. toward the Grant County Airport.
7. Turn left onto Randolph Road.
8. Turn right onto College Parkway NE.
9. Turn right onto Chanute St NE.

Driving directions from Seattle to Moses Lake:

1. From Seattle drive east on I -90
2. Take EXIT 179 – toward Othello/Moses Lake/Ephrata.

Due to the nature of the timing of our summer camps ending and the cleaning schedule no early arrivals will be approved. Please Adhere to the Move-In Schedule.

If you fail to claim your room within 48- hours of your move-in date, ResLife will cancel your assignment. Email Residential Life at Residencehalls@bigbend.edu or contact your RA, if you have an emergency or plan to arrive late.  Be sure to include your name, contact number, building, and room number in your email. The subject line should read NOTICE OF LATE ARRIVAL.

Terminating your contract with 13 to 1 days’ notice prior to check-in may result in a cancellation fee of a 3-night minimum (at the double room rate of $45 USD).
