Solar races, energy fair gives students lesson in renewable energy

Grant County fifth-graders are getting a fun lesson in renewable energy this week during the annual solar races and energy fair at Big Bend Community College.

A solar-powered car kit is provided to students by REC Silicon and Grant PUD. Students then build their own cars in class before getting the chance hit the track.
