MOSES LAKE — Big Bend Community College students will get to hear from several local industry partners about pursuing STEM-based careers during tonight’s STEM Night event.

Representatives from five local companies, including Grant County PUD, Genie and Western Pacific Engineering and Survey, will talk about their educational journeys and share various STEM employment opportunities in the Columbia Basin.

The free event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. in the college’s STEM Center, which is located inside the 1200 building.

“STEM Night is a learning opportunity for all. These presenters will be speaking about their academic journey, their current employment responsibilities and duties, and how they use their academic knowledge in their current field of employment,” said BBCC STEM Center Coordinator Veronica Guadarrama. “If you’ve ever thought about pursuing a STEM-based career or if you’re unsure about what career you’d like to pursue, I encourage you to come to STEM Night.”
