Letkeman Inks National Letter of Intent to Old Dominion University

Reign Letkeman, a sophomore pitcher/infielder for the BBCC Vikings baseball team from Red Deer, Alberta, has signed a letter of intent to play baseball in 2016 at Old Dominion University, a Division I school in Norfolk, Virginia.

Letkeman was an All-Conference 2nd Team Utility player in 2014 for the Vikings, leading the NWAC in hitting with a .400 batting average and going 4-2 with 2.61 ERA and two saves on the mound. He will anchor the Vikes’ mound staff in the spring and will likely see a lot of action as the team’s designated hitter as well as playing first base in the upcoming season.

Vikings coach Pete Domit said Old Dominion plans to use Letkeman primarily as a pitcher although, according to sources, letting him hit is not out of the question.
