Flagging Certification

This course prepares students for one of the most important and dangerous jobs when construction and maintenance affect the roadway: the Traffic Control Flagger.

Course Details:

  • Students receive a Washington Specific “Traffic Control Flagger Student Handbook” to keep, along with several other handouts and tools to assist individuals when on the job.
  • Students who successfully pass the open-book exam with a percentage of 80% or better will receive a certification card (valid for three years in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Montana).
  • Students must be at least 18 years of age to attend the class.
  • Reading and understanding English is required.
