MOSES LAKE – Students at North and Larson Heights Elementary Schools should have no excuse for not reading during the summer after Big Bend student-athletes delivered 500 new books to students at each school.

A group of players, along with coaches and Athletic Director Mark Poth, stopped at North Elementary last week and Larson Heights on Wednesday as part of the Disney “Magic of Storytelling” program.

“We’re privileged to have the opportunity to team up with Big Bend and to order books for all of our kids,” said Elizabeth Salmeron, instructional coach at Larson Heights. “Having our students be able to take a book with them that they’re going to be able to read over the summer is such a wonderful opportunity. And the kids love it.”
