MOSES LAKE — This fall, Big Bend Community College will once again offer evening High School Diploma (HS21+), GED, and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for students based in the Quincy area.

Classes will be held Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Quincy Valley Business and Conference Center (Port of Quincy building, 101 F St. SW). All classes are just $25 for the quarter, which runs from Sept. 25 through Dec. 6.

Big Bend has offered HS21+, GED and ESL classes in Quincy since winter quarter of last year, making it more convenient for students in the area who would otherwise have to commute to campus.

“It’s important to us to bring some of our services to the community versus having them come here, and I think it really demonstrates our level of commitment to serving our whole district,” said Dean of Transitional Studies Faviola Barbosa.

Students interested in taking either HS21+, GED or ESL classes this quarter should make plans to attend a pre-registration event Sept. 22. Students can drop in at the BBCC Opportunity Center (7700 building) anytime between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., that day to receive their orientation packets, get screened for other services and take any required pre-tests.

Students should bring their I.D. and $25 payment with them.
