“Red My Lips” Event at Big Bend Community College

Big Bend Community College students and staff, guys and girls alike, donned red lipstick to participate in a photo shoot for the “Red My Lips” campaign in the Student Success Center Tuesday.

Big Bend has sponsored this event each April for the past few years to promote awareness of sexual violence. BBCC students showed their support, along with others around the world, speaking out against rape myths and victim-blaming. The campaign helps to demonstrate solidarity and support for all survivors and raises awareness and funds.

Student Success Center Coordinator Dianna Villafaña, who hosted the event says that it’s great to have seen so many people come forward to learn more about the campaign and show their support.
