Message from CEID
The Committee on Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity (CEID) stands for and with DACA and DREAMer students
We stand with our colleagues in the academic community who believe that the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is in the best interest of students, faculty, and staff so that they can continue their education and careers as the next generation of innovators and leaders in this community and this country.
Our students are safe at Big Bend Community College. We are committed to assessing the impact of these changes and to keeping our constituents (service district) informed. Our diverse student population, including those here as part of the DACA program, is instrumental in cultivating a rich and diverse campus experience while investing in our region and nation. We understand the value of the experiences and multiple perspectives that diverse students bring to our campus. CEID is committed to helping all of our students, faculty and staff move their lives forward.
Our Commitment
Proposed changes to DACA will not change CEID’s commitment to all students and our vision and mission.
Vision
Cultivate an environment of equity and inclusion
Mission
