‘Start Next Quarter’ workshops set at BBCC

Four workshops for persons interested in starting classes during spring quarter 2015 at Big Bend Community College will be held in the BBCC library.

The “Start Next Quarter” workshops will be held on Jan. 30, Feb. 13 and 27, and March 13. Each session is held from noon to 1:30 p.m. in room 1802 of the library. Spring quarter classes start March 30.

“Some students are not prepared or are unaware of the process to get started,” said Monica Medrano, Workforce Education Service Coordinator at BBCC. The ‘getting started’ workshops help potential students understand the process and prepare them to enroll, she said.

To register for a workshop, contact Medrano at 509.793.2051.

The workshops provide students with information about admissions, financial aid, other funding opportunities, applications, placement testing, new student orientation, and a review of programs of study available at Big Bend.

Before attending the workshop, students should try completing a FAFSA application online for free at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. BBCC’s school code for that application is 003770.
