Motivational Speaker with Quadriplegia to Speak at Disabilities History Month Event

Jake French dreamed of working in the woods as a forester before a tragic accident shattered his dreams.

After becoming a quadriplegic, he emerged as an inspirational speaker and author.

The author of a book titled “Life Happens. Live It!”, French will be at Big Bend Community College on Oct. 8 celebrating Disabilities Month with a 1 p.m. presentation in the Masto Conference Center. The public is invited to the free event.

French is a university of Idaho graduate who still is a big fan of anything outdoors. While his condition makes his life difficult, he has stories about how to use your mind to become stronger than anything that happens to you.

French’s visit to BBCC is sponsored by the BBCC Associated Student Body.
