Men bring youth and women bring experience to Big Bend basketball

Basketball season is fast approaching at Big Bend Community College and both the men’s and women’s teams are abuzz. Men’s head coach, Mingo Scott, is in his first year as a head coach and has a young team, but that doesn’t deter him.

“More than anything, I don’t want anyone playing harder than us,” Coach Scott said. “Just cause we’re young doesn’t mean we can’t win”

Only three sophomores are returning, among them is Blake Dittman, who is excited for the season ahead.

“We have a good group of guys, they’re all really good basketball players and so we all gel together really well.” Dittman said.
