More than 600 degrees to be conferred on Class of 2024

Big Bend has seen an increase of 148 graduates since 2021 class

MOSES LAKE — At tonight’s graduation at Lions Field in downtown Moses Lake, 613 degrees will be conferred on 589 graduates of the Big Bend Community College’s graduating class of 2024. As college’s are building enrollment back from the lows of the Covid Pandemic, this number represents and increase of 148 graduates from the Class of 2021 (441 graduates).

Students will receive a myriad of recognitions including 20 students graduating with their Bachelors degrees in Applied Management (BAS-AM), 269 students earning Arts & Science degrees, 108 students earning their Associate in Applied Science degrees, and 163 students earning their high school diplomas.

There will also be 126 Running Start students earning both their high school diplomas and a 2-year degree from Big Bend as well.

Graduates come from 55 cities and towns in the state of Washington, as well as, the states of Alaska, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Montana, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah. The graduating class also includes students from the countries of Canada and Japan.

Tonight’s events begin at 5:30 p.m. at Lions Field in Downtown Moses Lake.
