Big Bend student selected for All-Washington Academic Team

MOSES LAKE — Big Bend Community College student Gina Todaro was recently recognized for being selected for the All-Washington Academic Team, an honor that recognizes both academic achievement and community involvement.

Seventy-five students, representing the state’s 34 community and technical colleges, were named to the 2023 All-Washington Academic Team. The program is in its 27th year.

Members of the team were honored during a ceremony in April, where they heard from Gov. Jay Inslee and other keynote speakers. Todaro was celebrated locally during the June BBCC Board of Trustees meeting.

Todaro is an active Phi Theta Kappa Rho Zeta member who is finishing her second year at Big Bend and getting her associates degree in business. She plans to transfer and major in accounting, or another business-related field.

The annual All-Washington recognition program is sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa—the honor society for two-year colleges. Other sponsors include the Washington Association of Community and Technical Colleges, the Washington State Association of College Trustees, and the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges.
