MOSES LAKE — Although Big Bend Community College has moved classes online to help mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, students still have access to real-time help from staff via the college’s newly implemented online live chat feature.
Live chat is available during the college’s regular operating hours, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. However, students will still be able to use the chat box to leave an offline message outside of business hours.
The chat is being manned by a team of Student Administrative Support Services staff.
Students can use the chat to ask about anything related to the college, including questions regarding the start of Spring Quarter, financial aid status or how to access campus resources remotely.
“The chat feature will provide quick access to a live person to help with their questions, especially during this time of uncertainty and with the campus closed,” said BBCC Advising Coordinator Jenn deLeón.
To access the live chat tool from your computer, smartphone or tablet, visit the college’s website at www.bigbend.edu. Once there, you will see a blue and white chat message icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
