Basic American Foods donates $10,000 for Moses Lake library shelving project

Basic American Foods donated $10,000 to the Moses Lake Public Library Foundation to go toward the new shelving project at the library.

Brian Meiners, plant manager at Basic American Foods, presented a check for the grant Tuesday to library foundation members.

The foundation recently announced the first phase of the shelving project will get underway starting June 19 as assembly of the mobile shelves begins. The shelves will replace many of the current stationary shelves in the juvenile and children’s sections of the library.

The new shelves allow staff to configure portions of the library into more open meeting or community use spaces inside the 9,000 square-foot building.
