Nothing is as simple and direct as giving money. You can either make a general donation, in which case the Foundation will utilize it to meet the College’s immediate needs, or you may designate your gift for a specific purpose, such as facilities, equipment, scholarships, or program support. Click here to make a donation or visit us in the 1800 building.

BBCC’s naming possibilities let you permanently link your name to the vital work done by the institution and enrich the campus enviornment. Scholarships and memorial funds are other ways to guarantee a lasting legacy. Contact jennifers@bigbend.edu or (509) 793-2005

Making a Planned Gift can be as easy as adding your Will/Trust or filling out a beneficiary form on your retirement plan.

A no longer required life insurance policy is a viable donation, so keep that in mind as you assess your year-end financial situation. Policies that still require premiums to be paid can be given while you continue to pay the premiums, prompting income tax deductions when the BBCC Foundation is named both owner and beneficiary.

Stocks and other investments can be turned into a significant gift that is made at a minimal net cost to you if they have increased in value and have been kept for longer than a year. Additionally, appreciated assets make excellent funding sources for charitable gifts that provide you (or the recipient of your support) with a steady income for life.

Many types of real estate potentially make good charitable donations.  In fact, the BBCC Foundation has a Finance, Personnel, and Property Management Committee that assists donors with income-generating options available for charitable gifts of real estate. In the past gifts of land, condominiums, and farms have been donated to the Foundation. Contact (509) 793-2004 or leannep@bigbend.edu

Does your employer offer a matching gift program?  In most cases, all you need to do is complete the form your company uses to initiate the corporate donation to us.

People over the age of 70 ½ may be able to donate from their IRA and/or Roth IRA to BBCC Foundation, if Congress renews this option.
