BBCC provides a career ladder program. Our programs are accredited by the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission, the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges, and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
Successful completion of the one-quarter nursing assistant program prepares students to take the Washington State Certification Examination. Successful completion of the examination is required to be a Nursing Assistant – Certified (NA-C).
Successful completion of the Level II ADN program prepares the student to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Successful completion of the exam and subsequent licensure allows the student to enter the workforce as a Registered Nurse.
When can I apply and start course work?
Program prerequisites and support courses may be started any quarter. Acceptance and enrollment into non-nursing courses must be completed through BBCC’s application and enrollment process. Courses transferred from other educational institutions must be reviewed and approved by BBCC college personnel.
Complete applications may be submitted to the Registration Office beginning March 15th. Applications received after the deadline may be considered for admission to the alternate pool only if the class is not filled for the upcoming school year. (See nursing program packet for annual deadline).
How many times a year do you offer enrollment?
New applicants to the nursing program are accepted for the fall quarter only.
Transfer and returning students are eligible for consideration any quarter, contingent upon a space-available basis and fulfilling the program requirements.
