MOSES LAKE — The annual Job and Career Fair is only a few short weeks away and Big Bend Community College is excited to welcome the community to campus once again.
“We are thrilled to welcome over 60 exhibitors to campus for the 32nd annual Job & Career Fair!” said Michelle Arceo, Career Services & Workforce Development Coordinator. “This event is a fantastic opportunity for job seekers and Big Bend students to connect directly with local employers.”
The Job and Career Fair is a community partnership event coordinated each year by BBCC, WA State Employment Security, OIC of Washington, Department of Services for the Blind, WA State Department of Social and Health Services/DVR, SkillSource, and Job Corps.
“Their collaboration makes this event a success year after year,” Arceo said.
Each year, the event hosts dozens of employers and draws hundreds of potential employees. The event is perfect for employers, business owners, employees, job seekers and the community to network and learn more about the robust industries in Grant County. The Job and Career Fair is the largest local event that places potential employees, employers, and local resources under one roof.
“With the ongoing need for employment opportunities in our area, we are excited to bring everyone together for this valuable event!” said Arceo. “In addition, the DSHS mobile office bus will be on-site to assist students with cash, medical, and food benefits—making this a true one-stop shop for job seekers.”
Job seekers are encouraged to come dressed professionally and prepared to share their resumes.
The fair will be held at the Masto Conference Center, inside the college’s ATEC Building, on April 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
