Stredwick Announced as New Big Bend Trustee

Big Bend Community College (BBCC) is excited to announce that Governor Jay Inslee has confirmed the appointment of Thomas Stredwick to the college’s Board of Trustees. He will replace former Trustee Dr. Mike Villarreal who resigned effective June 30 to become the Superintendent of the Hoquiam School District in Hoquiam, WA.

Stredwick is the Manager of Public Affairs for the Grant County Public Utility District. His primary areas of responsibility include media relations, internal communications, community engagement and communications strategy for the utility.

Born and raised on a farm in Grant County, he graduated from BBCC and went on to earn a BA in Applied Communications from Gonzaga University. He is currently working toward a graduate degree in Organizational Development and Leadership. Prior to joining the Grant PUD, he was the regional director of communications and marketing for the American Red Cross based in Spokane, WA.
