Placement Evaluation Request - Big Bend Community College

This is not a test. In fact, we’d rather you didn’t take a test for placement but instead select a starting point in math and English that uses your prior school transcript(s)/student grade report to evaluate your placement. This is an important step to ensure you are in courses your first quarter that are best for you. The placement tool will guide you through a series of questions about college and high school English and math courses taken and your high school GPA, estimating your placement based on your answers.
Once you have submitted your college and/or high school documentation, Big Bend Student Services staff will determine your official English and math placement and send you an email in 5-7 days directing you to your results. During peak months (May-Sept) placement evaluation can take up to 2 weeks. Once an evaluation is completed, you will receive an email from either the testing center or BBCC Admissions.

Note: you may not be able to register for certain classes without placement.

Once processed you can review your placement in the ctcLink Portal. Once logged in, go to the Student Center, scroll to the right and you will find Milestones. Click on details and you will be able to view your placement. Another way to view Milestones, in ctcLink go to the Student Homepage, click on Academic Records and then Milestones. Click on details to view your placement.
