Placement Evaluation Request

To fill out the Place Evaluation Form will need the following available:

Your BBCC student ID (included in your BBCC welcome letter)
Your high school transcript, if less than 10 years since graduation OR
A copy of your GED, SBAC, SAT, or ACT math and or English scores with your full name included on the documentation

Please allow 5 to 7 business days* for processing before your scheduled New Student Enrollment session. *During peak months (May-Sept.), placement evaluation can take up to 2 weeks, so submit information as early as possible! NOTE: You will not be able to enroll in some courses without placement.

Schedule your Math and English placement tests

English Placement:

The English Placement Assessment is conducted remotely via Zoom with a BBCC English Faculty member during the following days:

Please email EnglishPlacement@bigbend.edu a preferred day to get started and be sure to include your first name, last name, and student ID number.

Math Placement: The ACCUPLACER math placement test is administered online through a third-party testing platform called Meazure Learning. You will take your ACCUPLACER test with a remote online proctor, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can test when and where it is convenient for you. On test day, please be prepared to take your ACCUPLACER test in a quiet location, disruption free. Additionally, please have your government-issued photo identification ready to show to the proctor. The identification must be valid (not expired) and include your signature. Examples include a driver’s license or a passport.

If you require a quiet location for testing, please reach out to the testing center by replying to this email to receive more details and arrange a specific date and time. Kindly avoid coming to the library without having a reserved room on your test day, as suitable space may not be available.

To get started, please complete the Student Information for Math Accuplacer Form https://forms.office.com/r/4Dx05YHNXD. Be sure to verify that all information is accurate before submitting! You will receive an email from ACCUPLACER with next steps. Please read the email carefully and follow each step so your test time goes smoothly. The email will include steps on how to verify computer requirements, registering for an account with Meazure Learning, logging in and scheduling your test, and a link to a free study app to practice for the test. There is no cost to you to take the ACCUPLACER math placement test.
