Placement in math and English is an important step to ensure you are in courses that are best for you. The Placement Evaluation Form will guide you through a series of questions about the college and high school math and English courses you have taken and your high school GPA, estimating your placement based on your answers. You will need your BBCC student ID that was emailed to you after you applied for admission to complete the request. Be prepared to upload one of the following: your most recent high school transcript (transcript must be within the past 10 years for English placement and within the past 2 years for math placement) or a copy of your SBAC, SAT, or ACT test scores – this is how we will determine your official placement. Your name must appear on all documentation or we cannot use it for placement!
Once you have submitted all required information, BBCC staff will determine your official math and/or English placement and email how to view your placement results and next steps. Please allow 5 to 7 business days* for processing before your scheduled New Student Enrollment session. *During peak months (May-Sept.), placement evaluation can take up to 2 weeks, so submit information as early as possible! NOTE: You will not be able to enroll in some courses without placement.
