Cellarbration! for Education is the Foundation’s annual auction gala where donors can bid on amazing dessert, silent, and live auction items – all for a worthy cause! A super-fun event with unique items to enjoyable experiences, Cellarbration! has something for everyone. Attendees come together, enjoy a scrumptious multi-course meal paired with local prestigious wines, and know that every bid helps support students and changes lives through education.

All proceeds go toward the Foundation scholarships, which helps students in workforce education fields, returning students, baccalaureate and Running Start students, and seniors from each of the 19 high schools in our service district. The evening also helps raise scholarship funds to support students experiencing unforeseen, emergency financial situations.

Big Bend Community College’s annual Star Night celebration brings together scholarship recipients and their sponsors each fall. Students can use this occasion to express their gratitude to the community of supporters who give generously to assist reduce the cost of education for deserving BBCC students. Dinner and fellowship are enjoyed by guests and students, and the occasion gives donors a chance to see firsthand who is benefitting from their support of education.

“It’s one thing to write a check and support education, but to get to see and talk with the exact students they are helping really drives home how much our donors are helping to transform the lives of our students,” said Big Bend Director of Communications Matt Killebrew, “Being able to put a face to a name, and hear directly the impact they are having on the lives of students, makes this event one of the most special of the year.”
