Here is BBCC’s Institutional Research and Planning (IRP) Department. This page is designed to provide data and information to the college, surrounding the community and our greater service area (Washington State Service District No. 18).

Student Intent: Academic 41%, Adult Basic Education 27%, Workforce 20%, Industry/Continuing Education 10%, Baccalaureate 2%, Other 1%. Race/Ethnicity*: Two or more 35%, White/Caucasian 30%, Hispanic 29%, Asian/African American/Native American 3%, Not Reported 2%. Female/Male Ratio*: Female 59%, Male 41%. Median Age*: 21. Financial Aid: Students receiving need-based financial aid in eligible programs 67%. District Population: 125,756 residents (July 2024 US Census Quick Fact). *Academic, Workforce, Basic Education for Adults, & Baccalaureate students.

Institutional Research and Planning’s goal is to support the mission of Big Bend Community College through timely research and reporting.

  • To support the college community with data to support planning and decision-making at the institutional, program, and class levels.
  • To actively assist all areas of assessment at the college.
