QUINCY HIGH SCHOOL ALTERNATIVE PLACEMENT – ENGLISH
The goal of Big Bend Community College is to encourage success in English. Realistic placement is critical for a student’s success. In addition to our assessment test, students who graduated high school within the past two years may be placed according to the following chart. In order to place by transcript:
- Students must have earned a C or higher in their last English class.
- Students must have a cumulative high school GPA of 2.5 or higher.

The sooner the student takes his or her English class at BBCC, the better success the student is likely to have. If, after the quarter starts, students feel they have been placed incorrectly, they should talk with their instructor.
