Job and career fair save the date card

MOSES LAKE — Big Bend Community College is preparing to welcome job seekers and employers back to campus for one of the region’s most anticipated employment events—the 33rd annual Job & Career Fair, taking place later this month.

More than 60 employers and organizations are expected to attend, offering job seekers the chance to explore career pathways, make face‑to‑face connections, and learn about opportunities across Grant County’s diverse industries.

“We’re incredibly excited to welcome more than 60 exhibitors to campus for the 33rd annual Job & Career Fair,” said Alissa Scriven, Career Pathways Coordinator at Big Bend Community College. “Each year, this event continues to grow, and it reflects the strong partnerships we have with local employers and organizations that are committed to strengthening our workforce. It’s a unique opportunity for students and community members to have real conversations with employers and explore what’s possible right here in our region.”

The fair is a longstanding community partnership coordinated by Big Bend Community College alongside Washington State Employment Security, OIC of Washington, the Department of Services for the Blind, Washington State Department of Social and Health Services/DVR, SkillSource, and Job Corps.

“The success of this event truly comes down to collaboration,” Scriven said. “Our partners—from workforce development agencies to community service organizations—play a critical role in making sure job seekers have access not only to employment opportunities, but also the support and resources they need to succeed. It’s a shared effort, and we’re proud to bring everyone together for this event year after year.”

Each year, the Job & Career Fair draws hundreds of attendees and dozens of employers, making it the largest employment‑focused event in the area. Designed for job seekers, students, employers, business owners, and community members alike, the fair offers a unique opportunity to network, discover local career options, and access vital employment resources—all under one roof.

“With the continued demand for skilled workers across Grant County, events like this are more important than ever,” Scriven said. “We want attendees to leave feeling informed, confident, and connected. Having the DSHS mobile office bus on site allows us to meet people where they are by helping with cash, medical, and food benefits. It truly turns the Job & Career Fair into a one‑stop resource for anyone looking to take their next step.”

Job seekers are encouraged to attend dressed professionally and bring copies of their resumes.
