Serving Rural Communities:
The EOC serves a rural area with limited access to postsecondary education, characterized by high poverty, low education levels, and a large Hispanic farmworker labor force. The EOC’s target population includes low-income, first-generation families in these rurally isolated communities. The target area is within 60 minutes of the BBCC Campus in Moses Lake, which serves as the EOC project’s home base. This location allows us to maintain regular visits and strong partnerships with local public and nonprofit social service agencies, ensuring we meet the needs of the community.
