BBCC Foundation Scholarships


BBCC Foundation scholarshipsIncomplete or late applications will not be considered.
The application process allows current and future students to apply for any and all BBCC scholarships with a single application through our AwardSpring online system. Students can access the application from their computer, tablet, or smartphone.

The application for BBCC scholarships is generally September through early March with awards being announced between late April – early May. Scholarships provide funding for the upcoming academic year – Fall, Winter and Spring quarters. For more information about the BBCC Foundation can be found here.

BBCC Outside Scholarship Donors

Organizations and private citizens in the community donate money to fund student scholarships on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, commitment to training, or involvement in the community. Scholarship announcements come into the financial aid office throughout the school year. Eligibility criteria, application procedures and deadlines are posted on the websites provided or at the financial aid office. Listed below are some of our local donors.

American Indian Endowed Scholarship (AIES)
Scholarships for students who have close social and cultural ties to an American Indian tribe or community in Washington and intend to use his or her education to benefit the American Indian community in state

American Legion
Scholarships for veterans and their dependents.

Babe Ruth League
For graduating high school seniors who participated in the Babe Ruth League program

In honoring Cecilia’s passion for education, a scholarship has been established to celebrate her commitment to this cause.

For a community college part or full time student with plans to transfer to a four year school.

Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship
The Horatio Alger Assocation seeks to assist students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, and strength of character; have financial need; and are committed to pursue a career or technical certificate/degree.

Junior Service League of Wenatchee Scholarship
Two scholarships for women who are enrolled in a college program in the past or are returning to complete their education. Students must be enrolled in Wenatchee Valley College, Big Bend Community College or Central Washington University.

Sam I. Kobata & Sons Foundation
Kay Kobata established the Sam I. Kobata & Sons Foundation to encourage students graduating from high schools to study the agricultural sciences in college. Kay is particularly interested in helping high school graduates and encouraging them to advance the agricultural sciences.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
Founded in 1962, The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, www.mcsf.org, is the nation’s oldest and largest provider of need-based scholarships to military children. For 54 years, the Foundation has been providing access to affordable education for the children of Marine and Navy Corpsman attending post-high school, under-graduate and career technical education programs. In that time, they have provided more than 37,000 scholarships worth nearly $110 million.

Moses Lake Alumni Association
Moses Lake Alumni Association was formed to Honor, Unite, and Celebrate those who have attended school in Moses Lake.

Paul Lauzier Foundation
Scholarships are awarded annually to graduates of Grant County high schools attending college or vocational school within the State of Washington. Students pursuing graduate degrees are also eligible to apply.

Public School Employees
PSE is proud to assist educational support professionals and their dependents pursuing their educational goals. Each year, PSE awards direct financial aid to union members and their children.

Rotary Club of Moses Lake
They are awarded to BBCC students and graduates to help them complete their educational goals. Scholarships are available for high school graduates wishing to continue their education as well.

Soroptomist of Moses Lake
Our local Moses Lake chapter was chartered in 1955 and we currently have 42 members. We consist of professional, business, and retired women as well as career moms who all have the common goal of making a difference in the lives of women and children. We gave over $15,000 to our community last year through donations, grants and scholarships. We are supported through our fundraising efforts and donations from our community.

TwinStar Credit Union Higher Education Scholarships
Each year TwinStar Credit Union awards eight higher education scholarships, each in the amount of $2,000, to student members.

United Negro College Fund
The UNCF Program Services Department manages various scholarship programs. Each program has its own eligibility criteria, open/close dates and required documentation. To apply for a UNCF scholarship, you must apply through the on-line application process. As many of the UNCF scholarships require that the scholarship recipient apply for Federal Student Aid, it is recommended that applicants complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Get in-depth information on federal student aid programs and applying for financial aid at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Washington Apple Education Foundation
Scholarships for high school seniors and undergraduate students who have a connection to the tree fruit industry or are pursuing a career in agriculture.

  • Deadline: March 1st, 2017

Washington Farm Bureau
These scholarships are awarded to undergraduate students currently enrolled in agriculture or a related field at an accredited college or university. Applicants must have completed at least one year of secondary education. A person may receive the scholarship only once, and must meet the following requirements.
