Supplemental Instruction

Font Size: Larger /Smaller

The Supplemental Instruction (SI) program provides peer-facilitated group study sessions led by qualified, trained, and teacher recommended SI leaders who attend classes with students and encourage them to practice and discuss course concepts in sessions.  Sessions are open to ALL students who want to improve their understanding of the material, as well as improve their grades.

SI sessions are regularly scheduled, informal reviews in which students compare notes, discuss readings, develop study skills, and prepare for test and quizzes.

Watch and learn from our leaders and students.

What our students say who participate in SI:

“Si sessions allowed me to ask more questions than I would have been able to in class.  Even if I understood the material fairly well, it was still a great chance for me to go and review the material and get extra practice.”

“I thought it helped and you get to meet new people and we all ended up helping each other.”

“The SI leader had taken the class before so she knew what we could expect.”

“It gave me more practice which boosted my confidence and my grade.”
