Psychology
Welcome

Psychology is one of the most powerful tools for change that you can access.  Psychology can help you get more out of college.  Psychology can improve your interactions with other people.   Psychology can help you live a more productive and healthy life.  If nothing else, it can help you train your dog.  Who wouldn't want these things and more.

Associate in Arts and Science Transfer Option

Psychology is a branch of science which seeks to describe and understand normal and abnormal behavior. Students interested in psychology as a professional career usually select a specialty area in psychology then spend several years beyond their bachelor's degree in graduate training to prepare themselves for such roles as psychotherapists, teachers of psychology, researchers, or industrial psychologists.

Since programs differ slightly at each of the four-year colleges, students should consider program outlines published by the college or university to which they intend to transfer. The following recommended courses will prepare students for most. Students should prepare their quarterly schedules with the assistance of an advisor knowledgeable in this transfer area. The BBCC Catalog outlines the specific Basic and Breadth requirements for the Associate in Arts and Science Degree.
