Program Outline |
Associate in Arts and Science Transfer Option
A degree in biological sciences opens the door to a wide variety of choices -- from the health sciences to environmental technology, from biomedical research to wildlife biology. The range of possibilities is limited only by a student's own interests, aptitudes, and imagination!
Since programs differ at each of the four year colleges, students should consider program outlines published by the college or university to which they intend to transfer. The following recommended courses will prepare students for most senior institutions. Students should prepare their quarterly schedules with the assistance of an advisor knowledgeable in this transfer area. See below for specific basic and breadth requirements for the Associate in Arts and Science degree.
These courses are recommend for all areas of lif science majors, including but not limited to: Pre-dental, pre-medicine, pre-pharmacy, pre-veterinary, pre-environmental science, forensic science and nutrition.

Recommended Electives Depending on Specialty Area
*Pre-med students may major in any subject, but the three most common are Chemistry, Zoology and Microbiology. Zoology majors need Vertebrate Anatomy and Zoophysiology rather than Human Anatomy and Physiology.
