Who Is Eligible For Financial Aid
All Big Bend Community College financial aid recipients must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- Be determined to have financial need based upon Congressional Methodology (except for Unsubsidized Stafford and PLUS Loans).
- Have a high school diploma or GED certificate.
- Be enrolled in a college degree or certificate program.
- Not owe a refund on a previous grant or be in default on a Federal Educational Loan.
- Be enrolled for eligible number of credits and maintaining satisfactory academic progress requirements. Previous satisfactory academic progress at Big Bend Community College will be considered even if not on financial aid.
- Not be receiving financial aid at another institution at the same time.
- Be registered with Selective Service (if required).
- Have satisfied federal guidelines regarding conviction of illegal drug offense.
