Grants and Tuition Waivers
Gift aid that does not need to be repaid as long as Satisfactory Academic Progress is maintained.
1. Pell Grant
A federal grant program for undergraduate students. The amount of the grant is determined by the cost of education, the estimated family contribution, and full, 3/4, 1/2, or less than 1/2 time status.
2. Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
A federal grant program for undergraduate students. This grant is awarded to those students eligible for a Pell Grant, and with the lowest expected family contribution. At Big Bend, SEOG awards are at least $150 per academic year.
3. Washington State Need Grant
A state grant program for undergraduate students. A Washington State resident without an associate degree may be eligible for a Washington State Grant.
4. Washington State Tuition Waiver Program
This program offers a limited number of tuition and fee waivers to residents of this state.
