Big Bend’s Jacob McCord named NWAC East Region MVP

Big Bend Runnin' Vikes Jacob McCordBig Bend’s Jacob McCord was named Most Valuable Player in the Northwest Athletic Conference East Region.

The 6-foot-8 sophomore led the conference in points and rebounds per game, averaging 25.93 points and 12.14 rebounds, and collecting 19 double-doubles on the season. McCord was also selected to the sophomore all-star team.
Big Bend’s Jai Jai Ely and Zach Shepherd were named to the East Region All-Defensive Team. Shephard collected 37 steals and 13 blocks on the season while Ely added 28 steals, including 15 in East Region play.
