At Big Bend Community College we offer residence hall living accommodations. Our rooms are large in size, measuring 16’ x 10’ with 9’ ceilings and an abundance of in-room storage space, safe 24 hour security, at least one trained resident advisor on every floor, and a great value. To top it off, we offer dining facilities through Sodexho Food Services.
Philips and Viking Halls are among the safest residence halls in the state. Our Resident Advisors (RAs) go through an extensive training program to prepare them for the coming year. In addition, we have a live-in Resident Life Supervisor who is on call 24 hours a day.
Aside from being an affordable place to live, the residence halls at Big Bend Community College also provide an exceptional environment for our students. There are compulsory quiet hours reserved for studying, time allotted to blow off steam and computer labs throughout the campus. To make studying easier, both our residence halls are located only a couple of hundred feet from the library. All rooms are equipped to handle telephone and Internet connections.
For fun and recreation, the residence halls offer intramural sports, athletics, trips, events and other exciting activities. In conjunction with the Associated Student Body and Sodexho, the dining hall features a monthly favorite called theme night. Students have the opportunity to sample different foods from around the world accompanied by live entertainment.
